Text alerts
A text to the attorney when an urgent call was not transferred.
Intake Gateway answers a personal-injury law firm’s phone line. When a caller has an urgent case and the call could not be put through to the firm, the firm can choose to get a text on its own cell as well as the email it already receives.
Who gets them
Only the firm, and only if it opts in.
Text alerts go to one cell number a subscribing law firm types into its own Intake Gateway settings: the attorney’s, or whoever at the firm handles urgent calls. They are never sent to the people who call the firm, and never used for marketing. Texts are sent by Intake Gateway LLC from a toll-free number.
Opting in
An unticked box in settings, then a code texted to the cell.
A signed-in firm owner enters the cell number in Settings → Text alerts and ticks a box that is never ticked for them. Beside the box it says:
Text this number when a hot case is not transferred to us. I agree to receive these automated alerts from Intake Gateway at the number above: usually a few a month, only for urgent calls to my firm's line. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help. Consent is not a condition of using Intake Gateway.
Saving with the box ticked sends one text to that number, containing the code and fixed words only:
Intake Gateway: your code is 123456 to confirm urgent-call text alerts. A few texts a month. Msg&data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help, STOP to opt out.
No alert is sent until that code is entered back in settings within 15 minutes, which shows the person holding the phone agreed. A changed number needs a new code. Unticking the box and saving stops the texts at once.
What they say
One fixed message, no case details.
One message per urgent call that was not transferred, usually a few a month. It names the firm and the caller’s phone number, and never the caller’s name, their injury or anything they said; those stay in the firm’s email and its signed-in dashboard. A sample:
Intake Gateway: urgent call for Example Injury Law from +15055550100, not transferred. Details in your email. Reply STOP to opt out.
Message and data rates may apply.
Stopping them
Reply STOP.
Reply STOP to any alert and no more are sent to that number; reply START to receive them again. Reply HELP for help, or write to contact@intakegateway.com. A firm can also turn alerts off in its settings at any time.
Mobile numbers and opt-in information are not shared with or sold to third parties for their marketing. How we handle data is in our privacy policy and the terms of service.
