Care that went wrong, as the agent takes the call

The provider, the facility and the dates, with no assessment and no booking.

  • Someone hurt by medical care that went wrong is an injury call: the agent takes the intake, and lets the caller tell what happened in their own words before anything structured.
  • It asks whether they are already working with another attorney on it. A caller who already has a lawyer on that matter is ended politely, with no conflict check and no more questions.
  • For your conflict check it asks who the caller thinks is responsible for what happened.
  • For care that went wrong it also takes which provider and facility, roughly when, and when the caller first realised something was wrong.
  • For a hurt adult it asks, one question at a time, whether they have seen a doctor, whether they are still being treated, any hospital stay, surgery, missing work and ongoing pain.
  • It asks no qualifying questions and makes no assessment, and never tells the caller whether care was negligent, what kind of claim they have, whether they have one, whether they may bring one, or any deadline.
  • Asked how long they have to file, it says there are deadlines and they vary, so that is one for the attorney, flags that they asked, and never states a period or whether they are in time.
  • It puts the category, medical care that went wrong, in the first line of the intake summary.
  • Medical malpractice is one of the categories never qualified or booked automatically: it always goes to a callback or a live transfer, never straight onto your calendar, whether or not a calendar is connected.
  • Care that went wrong at a public hospital means a government body is involved: the agent offers to put the caller through to you live, in the hours you allow transfers, instead of booking a consultation.
  • A death from care gone wrong, or a life-threatening injury that has already happened, earns the same offer; an emergency still going on is sent to 911, never put through to your firm.
  • If no transfer happens, it tells the caller it is passing everything they said to the office and asks what time to reach them at that number; it passes that time on and never promises when you will call.
  • It never says whether your office takes the case, whether it sounds strong or what it is worth: that is for your attorney, from the email.

Every question the intake asks

Not a message-taker

A generic AI receptionist takes a message. This one runs your intake.

Urgent cases offered a live transfer

A fatality, anything involving a city or a public body, an adjuster pushing for a recorded statement, evidence about to disappear: the agent recognizes the signs and offers to put the caller through to you live, in the hours you allow transfers. When it is unsure, it offers the transfer.

A conflict check before any booking

The agent takes the caller’s name and, when they know it, the other side’s — the other driver, the property owner, the dog’s owner, the business — and searches your Clio contacts and matters while they are on the line. If the other party is marked as your client in Clio, is the client on a matching matter, or is an earlier caller whose details Intake Gateway sent to your Clio in the last 13 months, the call ends in a callback and a flag for you, never a consultation on your calendar. Any other match on the other party, and a caller you already know, is booked as usual and flagged anyway.

Pricing

One plan. Every answered call included.

One plan, $149 a month, every answered call included. Fair use is a guide of up to 100 answered calls a month for one firm’s own line, not a cap: nothing meters your calls or cuts them off at that number. If you are consistently and substantially above it, we may get in touch to agree terms that fit that volume, and if we cannot agree any, the Terms of Service let either side end the plan.
