A divorce, as the agent takes it

The spouse’s name, a safe number and the court date, never the marriage itself.

  • A divorce call is part of the family law intake, which is off until you switch it on. Off, someone calling about a divorce or a separation leaves a message for you.
  • On, it takes the call from the spouse or from someone calling for a family member, and asks whether they already have a lawyer on this. The other spouse’s lawyer is not theirs.
  • It takes the caller’s name and their spouse’s, reads each back, and runs your conflict check on both before it asks about the divorce.
  • When it is not safe to call back on that number, it asks for another number that is, or a good time to call, and asks for no email.
  • It asks whether children under 18 are involved and how many, never their names, and the state and county where the caller lives.
  • It asks whether a case is already open in court, the next hearing date and which court, and whether a custody, support or protective order is already in place.
  • In Spanish, “me quiero divorciar” is taken the same way.
  • It never asks about abuse or what the spouse did. If the caller says, it says it is sorry, notes it in a few plain words and asks nothing more.
  • Someone hurt in an accident who only mentions a divorce is never taken this way: they get the injury intake.
  • A divorce with a hearing today, tomorrow or the day after, a need for a protective order, or a child threatened or not returned is urgent: within the firm's transfer hours the caller is offered a live transfer.
  • A divorce that is not urgent closes like any other case: a callback promised, or with a calendar connected a consultation booked or requested.
  • It never says how property is divided, who will get custody, what support will be, whether to move out or take the children, or any deadline.

Every family matter it takes

Not a message-taker

A generic AI receptionist takes a message. This one runs your intake.

A callback promised, or a consultation booked or requested

Every routine caller is told the office will call them back, and gives the time that suits them. Connect a calendar and the agent books an ordinary case's consultation instead, from your real availability, while the caller is still on the phone, or requests one where your calendar asks you to confirm.

You hear every call

The recording, the transcript, a summary and the structured intake for every call are in your dashboard. Download what you need for your file: the recording, transcript, summary and intake are removed on a fixed schedule measured from each call.

The caller lands in Clio, if you use Clio

Connect Clio and the caller is added there as a contact after the call — name, phone, email and address, nothing re-typed. The full intake arrives by email and in your dashboard, with Clio or without — the product works either way.

Pricing

One plan. Every answered call included.

One plan, $149 a month, every answered call included. Fair use is a guide of up to 100 answered calls a month for one firm’s own line, not a cap: nothing meters your calls or cuts them off at that number. If you are consistently and substantially above it, we may get in touch to agree terms that fit that volume, and if we cannot agree any, the Terms of Service let either side end the plan.
